The acequia runs parallel to the
river at the top of the field, then down under the mesa to an overflow
into the river at the southeast corner of the property.

The Pecos River, looking north. The
property line runs to the middle of the river.
This cottonwood is about 8 feet in
diameter at the base and provides an awesome canopy of shade in the
summer. Picnic, camp, just sit.
In late summer the river is usually low,
most of the water going into the acequias. Good time to play.
This is where the river turns away from
the property and heads east. The acequia is just off to the right.

And in heavy rains, it can get a little
scary...
