Riverside
A 10.65 acre homestead site on the Pecos River
with senior water rights (priority 1857) and level, irrigated, de-facto
organic fields; perfect horse property; paved road access and all utilities (electric,
community water, phone, high-speed DSL) at hand. There's a breathtaking view from the ideal
build site overlooking the Pecos. Not a structure in sight, total
privacy. There's a fabulous swimming hole and sunbathing rocks at
the base of the cliff.

This land is long and narrow, offering a
series of stepped fields.

There's some alfalfa in one section, but
it's time to re-plant.

Wild asparagus grows all along the sides
of the fields.

There are a few aging fruit trees, the
remnants of a good orchard.

The main acequia opens into a feeder
acequia that runs down the north edge of the land, providing water to
whichever field one wishes.

At the top of the land, just under the
acequia, is a good leveled site for a barn or utility building.

There are deer, coyote, raccoons, and
countless birds.

At the bottom of the irrigated land is the
ideal home site, overlooking the cliff and river.

The property line runs to the middle of
the river. The river comes in from the north, joins the property
line and runs down the side of the property...

Looking the other way...

There's about an acre of bottom land
planted with juniper and sagebrush, with little meadows of soft grass.
Great sites for camping.

The swimming hole and sunbathing rocks...

There's good rock and sand for building,
and mud for play and craft.

The river then hooks around the bottom of
the property, past a cliff on the other side...

And this is your sunset view.
